    How big is Pinafore Park?

Roughly 111 acres. Inside you'll find woods and trails, a pond, gardens, a splashpad, courts and a historic ballpark.

Why is it called Pinafore Park?

The street railway company that built up the grounds in the 1890s is said to have named it after HMS Pinafore, the Gilbert and Sullivan comic opera that was a hit at the time.

    What is Emslie Field?

It's the park's ballpark. Its diamond dates to 1898, which makes it one of Canada's oldest. In the 1950s it was named for Bob Emslie, a St. Thomas umpire who spent 33 seasons in the major leagues.

Yes. Six pavilions with water and hydro can be booked through the City for family reunions, birthday parties and wedding receptions.
